Location Access

Changi Airport lies about twenty kilometres east, around twenty to thirty minutes by taxi or Grab outside rush hour. By MRT, the journey takes around forty five to sixty minutes with changes, a very cheap option for travellers with light luggage. The hotel can arrange paid airport transfers on request.

Clarke Quay MRT station, three minutes away, is on the North East Line, which runs directly to Chinatown, Outram Park, HarbourFront for Sentosa, Dhoby Ghaut for Orchard Road connections, Little India and Serangoon. This line alone covers many of the main sights. Interchanges connect with the Circle, Downtown and East West lines.

Contactless bank cards work directly at MRT gates and on buses, so there is no need to buy a separate transport card. Fares are charged by distance and are low by international standards. Trains are frequent, clean and air conditioned, a relief in the tropical heat.

Buses complement the MRT and stop near the hotel, connecting with Orchard Road, Chinatown and the harbour. Real time arrival apps make bus travel easy. Seats on the upper deck of double deckers give free city views.

Grab is the main ride hailing app in Singapore, alongside taxis that can be hailed or booked. Prices are regulated, and drivers are reliable. Surge pricing applies during rain and rush hours, when MRT is usually faster.

River taxis and bumboats along the Singapore River connect Clarke Quay, Boat Quay and Marina Bay, offering a scenic alternative for short trips. Sentosa is reachable by MRT to HarbourFront, then the Sentosa Express monorail or the boardwalk.

For trips across the border, Johor Bahru in Malaysia is reachable by bus or train from Woodlands, but immigration queues can be long at weekends.
